What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I feel that through producing our media project I have learnt many things about the technologies we used and how they are used to construct media products.

The technologies we used in order to create our product were:

•  Sanyo Xacti Camcorder

• Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0

• VLC Player

• Blogger

• YouTube

• Microsoft Excel

• Microsoft Word

• Paint 

• Computers/Internet 

We used two Sanyo Xacti Camcorders in order to film our project. We learnt how to use the camcorder properly and how to gain the camera angles wanted and learnt new techniques in order to create a creepy atmosphere.

Premier elements pro 7.0 helped to develop my editing skills and helped me see how to overcome issues when using the software in order to produce a successful project. It taught me how to solve problems and how to work them out.

Blogger is the website where we have create weekly blogs on our progress and the work in which we have done, where i am writing now. It helped me to present my work in a variety of ways to how i please.

We used YouTube greatly to help us create a successful blog. We used YouTube at the beginning of our project to find good video's for our deconstructions which relate to our chosen genre. We managed to find 4 that were suitable to compare. We also used YouTube to make our project public and also to make it able for us to put the final clip onto our blogs, moreover, to annotate our final video easily using the annotation option on YouTube.

I used Microsoft excel and Microsoft word to create the graphs for the results of our two questionnaires. This was a simple, easy way to produce the graphs successfully in order to put them onto my blog.
