The Filming.

Camera use; 11th Janurary 2011

Whilst filming our media we made sure that everbody in the group had a turn to film and work with the cameras. We took out two cameras to gain different angles and shots of the same object and so that two people could be filming at once, we thought it was fair that everyone used the cameras, and we all then took part in the filming. To create the creepy atmosphere we wanted we filmed in seperate clips in different locations in attempt to make a succesful horror.

Whilst filming in the church stairs we realised that we had a problem to overcome as the lighting was too dark for us to film. To solve this, we had to go up high on the stairs so we were closer to a window giving light through, but also we used some battery run candles to put on the stairs, this gave us just enough light to film but was also safe, we chose not to use real candles as this may have been a hazard, one of us could have got burnt or knocked the candles over. It was very steep and cold while filming this scene so we tried to achieve the best shots we could on that day. We had to re-film this part a few times, but we did get footage successful enough for us to use and gained what we had hoped.

The filming within the forest area also had it's problems to overcome, as the floor was cold and damp the character of the injuried/dead body would get very cold very quickly, meaning that the person playing the character (sarah) may have become ill, so we also tried to get the footage we wanted that day to overcome this problem. Once again, we had to take a few takes, but we achieved the footage we wanted in the end.

Therefore, we do not need to film anymore as this one day of filming was successful enough for us.
